Velika belongs to the municipality of Agia and abstains 52km from the city of Larissa. Together with the beach of Agiokampos and Sotiritsa (more than 10km of continuous beach) they constitute one of the most important summer resorts of the district. You will meet organised coasts as well as many free spots in the wider coastal area.
Southbound and relatively close to Velika you can visit the beach of Rakopotamos and the Papakostas Shore, whereas northbound you can visit the beaches of Vrahakia, Paliouria, Koutsoupia, Kokkino Nero, Tsiligiorgos, Platia Ammos, Kalivi, Psarolakkas.

Even though Velika is a coastal area it can also combine the beauties of the mountain, as it is the main entrance into the Kissavos mountain. Many hiking paths lead to beautiful routes of small height and even to the top of Kissavos.
